MINDEMOYA—The Manitoulin Health Centre’s (MHC) emergency department at its Mindemoya site will not be closing this coming Monday and Tuesday, October 9 and 10, as MHC had feared would be the case.
At 1:45 pm on Friday, October 6, MHC contacted The Expositor Office to say that there has been a reprieve and a 16-hour emergency department closure would not happen.
The initial announcement of the closure is linked to a shortage of physicians, including locus physicians, to cover all shifts.
