MINDEMOYA—The Towns/Murdock team won the first event championship at the Mindemoya Curling Club annual mixed curling bonspiel held February 7-9.
The first event winning team was made up of Greg and Janyn Towns and Wayne and Anna Murdock. Runner-up in the first event was the team made up of Barry and Muriel Wall, Eric Ruediger and Susan Flynn.
In the second event the team made up of Greg and Pam Bond and Willis and Joan Sheppard were the winners in the final game. They bested the rink made up of Reuban and Sharon Allen along with Rob and Joanne Mellan.
The third event champions were the Marc and Jeannie Lefebvre rink with Greg and Heather Niven. The runner-up was the Darren Smith and Pauline King rink with Allan and Kyra Lanktree.
