LITTLE CURRENT—The Mike Wall rink won the Little Current Curling Club men’s annual bonspiel this past weekend.
The Mike Wall rink, representing Little Current defeated the Dan Marois rink in the first event finals. Members of the Mike Wall skipped rink included vice Joe Cooper, second Duane Deschamps and lead John Hodder.
The B event winner was the Steve Pellatt rink from Sudbury, with the Bill Sloss rink from Sault Ste. Marie winning the C event. The D event saw the Max Burt rink of Gore Bay as the winner.
A total of 16 teams took part in the bonspiel. There was at least one team representing each club on the Island with teams from Espanola, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie also taking part.
