MHC Little Current Aux make $7,000 donation

LITTLE CURRENT—Following its recent Rock-a-Thon fundraiser, the Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC) Little Current Auxiliary has made a significant donation to the MHC fundraising campaign.

MHC Little Current auxiliary members June McConnell and Carol Labelle (along with their mascot Mabel) recently presented MHC president and chief executive officer Paula Fields with a cheque for $7,000 to support the hospitals fundraising campaign ‘Smart Infusion, Smarter Care,’ raising funds towards the purchase of new IV pumps for both its Island hospital locations.

On Saturday, February 22, 13 members of the Little Current MHC auxiliary participated in the third annual Rock-a-Thon held at the Little Current United Church. Participants collected sponsorships and then rocked for five hours (having a one-minute break each hour). MHC and the auxiliary representatives noted how grateful they are for the community support of this fundraiser.
