Melvin Russell passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017 in his 96th year. Mel is survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his special friend Ardeth Burmaster. Predeceased by his parents William and Rebecca (Hubbard) Russell, a brother Teasdale (Elaine) Russell and sisters Lizzie (Jim) Witty, Marie (Hugh) Steven and Annie (Stuart) Van Horn. Visitation was held at the Simpson Funeral Home, Gore Bay, on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 10 am to 11 am, where the funeral service was held at 11 am. Interment Silver Water Cemetery.
