M’CHIGEENG—Just before 3:30 pm on November 15, UCCM Anishnaabe Police officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision at the corner of Cross Hill Road and Corbiere Road in M’Chigeeng First Nation. Information provided to the police was that the driver had been ejected from their all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and had sustained life-threatening injuries.
UCCM Police, fire and paramedic services attended the scene and began life-saving measures on the driver. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the hospitals.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased,” said James Killeen, chief of police for UCCM Anishinaabe Police Service in a release. “His name will not be released out of respect for his family.”
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) technical traffic collision investigation (TTCI) unit is investigating the incident and the investigation is continuing.
