Mary Margaret (Marie Marguerite) Jackson, a longtime resident of Manitowaning and a resident of Wikwemikong Nursing Home, died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre on March 22, 2014 at the age of 92. Born to Sophie Daniels Manitowabi and Michael Manitowabi at Sucker Lake Reserve, Manitowaning on January 15, 1922. Beloved wife of Robert John Jackson (predeceased 1991). Predeceased by daughters Lorraine and Linda, sons Clifford and Kenneth. Survived by children Pyllis Cooco, Raymond, John (Mariel), Shirley, and Don. Predeceased by grandchildren Andrea and Tom. Survived by grandchildren Michelle, Amanda, Karsten, Kenneth, Richie (Charmaine), Darlene, Christopher, Tina, David and Colleen. Proud great-grandmother of 17 grandchildren, one predeceased. Predeceased by brothers Michael “Sonny” and Alphonse, sisters Joyce and baby sisters (names unknown). Survived by dear sister, Betty Crack (husband Mervyn). Margaret had two other loves; the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Family and friends will gather from 1 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 and Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah. Family will be at the church from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be at 1 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah. Burial will be at Wikwemikong.
