Mary Lou Patterson of Providence Bay died peacefully at the Mindemoya Hospital on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the age of 72. Mary Lou loved people, she loved having a houseful, her door was always open, day or night. She always made time for a visit, or lend a helping hand. Mary Lou spent a lot of time with her husband Colin, together they enjoyed fishing, working in their garden, and even built trusses together for many homes here on the Island. Mary Lou was a woman who tried to make the world a better place. Predeceased by husband Colin (2010). Cherished mother of Rick, Don and Kevin; all of Providence Bay, Bill and wife Ofelia of Cambridge and Cindy Davis (husband Sam predeceased) of Spring Bay. Proud grandmother of Samantha and Tony Davis, Christopher, Hailey and Sierra Patterson, predeceased by Mary Ann Davis. Cherished great-grandmother of Brianna, Aurora, Kyle and Dallas. Will be remembered by siblings Ted and Mae Bassingwaite of Edmonton, Jean McFarlane (Ron predeceased), Jim and Edith Bassingwaite (both predeceased), Nora Kiley (Larry predeceased) of Mindemoya, Ivy Le Sarge (Robert predeceased) of Wawa, Bill and Lynn Bassingwaite of Dunnsville, Carol and Reginald McFarlane of Tobermory, Ron Corbiere (predeceased) Janet of Hamilton, and step-siblings John and Mary Buie of Kagawong, Margarit and Bill Smith of Kitchener, Cathy and Doug King of Mindmeoya, Joe and Gail Patreau of Sault Ste.
