MARY KATHARINE FLEMING

Mary Katharine Fleming passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Centenary Hospital, Toronto at the age of 93. Katharine of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Claude (1995). Loving mother of Mary Ellen Fleming (Ed Yiu). Katharine is predeceased by her parents John and Sarah McAnsh, her siblings Roy (Viva), Earl, Jennie, Arthur and Clifford and nephews Carole and Ivan (Jean). She is survived by niece Shirley, nephews Dale (Wendy) and Doug (Lori), great-nephew Andrew and great-niece Amy (Shayne), by sisters-in-law Hazel McAnsh and Mae Fleming. She will also be remembered by the Fleming family nieces and nephews Catherine (Dennis), Donald (Eva), Doreen (Peter), Anne (Joe), Grace (Murray), Peter (Brenda Lee), Lois (Rob), Ruth (Adam) and Joan (Jacque). Katharine and Claude married in Sudbury in 1945 and farmed for many years in Sunnidale Township. Katharine was honored with a Life Membership in the Women’s Institute. Friends were received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, Stayner Chapel on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 7 pm to 9 pm. The Funeral Service was held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 2 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery.
