July 28, 1991 – August 29, 2014
Marissa Courtney Bouwmeester, 23, made her transition August 29, 2014, leaving this world for a far better place, after a long courageous battle with illness. She will always be lovingly remembered by her parents Maria Bouwmeester and Omer Gagne and Rick Courtemanche; her siblings, Jennifer (Derek), Sara (Phil), Kyle (Shannon), Micheline (Brad), and Richard (Lucy). Marissa also leaves her nieces and nephews, Gabrielle, Jackson, Sophie, Emily, Geneva, Agatha, Jacob and Georgia. Will be forever remembered by her best friend Kris Dickson. Marissa will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Marissa was a very spiritual person who fought a difficult fight, and was positive and selfless throughout her journey. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass has been held at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Espanola on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11 am with Father George Gardner officiating.
