Born in Sudbury, and died suddenly at 93 years at Manitoulin Centennial Manor in Little Current, Manitoulin Island. She is survived by her children Frank of Sudbury, Geoff (Carolee) of MacDonald’s Corners, and Dorothy (Jim Anstice) of Tehkummah; grandchildren Stephen, Jennifer, Caitlin, Courtney, Esther and Alex; and great-grandchildren Harper, Morgan, Carter and Henry. Predeceased in 1987 by her loving husband Joe. Also predeceased by her parents Frank and Ethel (Thompson) Rothery and her brother Fred Rothery. A devout Anglican, Marion was a former teacher of special education at Parkridge School in Sudbury, and was also well-known for her intricate and speedy knitting projects. She had a strong sense of commitment and dedication to any cause she supported within her community, family or church. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11 am at St. Francis Anglican Church in Mindemoya, luncheon reception to follow at the church.
