‘First Nations people are being forced to live in third world conditions in their own land’

To the Expositor:

I just cannot believe how First Nations people are being forced to live in third world conditions in their own land. This should not be happening to First Nations people and I always bring this issue with other aboriginals and I always get an agreement. We see the rich just getting richer and that this is our land and we aboriginals are just getting poorer. First Nations problems are just being swept under the rug. Then we have these racist bureaucrats who will do everything in their power to stop the help that First Nations people need and I have never said anything like this before in my letters. Maybe it’s time for them to get the heck off our land if they do not want to be fair.

It’s not just the aboriginals who are being affected by this, it’s everybody, and I do see people in my own community who are struggling and myself, I struggle too, but I do see people who are well off but they just do not give a damn about others, especially for people who are working in office or they’re just not doing enough for the people in this community because they have nothing to worry about that they are well off. Sorry to say that, but then again there might be some truth to that.
