MANITOULIN–On September 3, 2014, UCCM Anishnaabe Police received a report that a youth was sexually assaulted approximately one month ago on the M’Chigeeng First Nation. The UCCM Anishnaabe Police proceeded to investigate the incident and as a result arrested a 43-year-old man from Manitowaning who is scheduled to appear in Gore Bay Bail Court later this month. He is charged with one count of sexual interference contrary to Section 151(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada and one count of sexual assault on a person Under 16 years of age contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
