Manitowaning Curling Club hosts men’s bonspiel

MANITOWANING—The Joe Cooper rink from Little Current won the first event championship at the Manitowaning Curling Club annual men’s curling bonspiel held this past weekend.

Mr. Cooper’s rink defeated the Jack Ferguson rink to win the first event championship.

In the second event the Graham Lloyd rink of Assiginack ousted the Gord Bickell rink in the final to get the win.

And in the third event, the Lew Lanktree rink of Mindemoya defeated the Dan Marois rink based out of Gore Bay.

There were a total of 12 teams who took part in the bonspiel.
