SUDBURY, ON- Manitoulin Transport has made a $50,000 pledge to NEO Kids Foundation which will help deliver smiles to the patients and families at NEO Kids. To make the donation even sweeter, every donation received by NEO Kids Foundation during the month of November is being matched by a community donor.
With 50 years of experience, Manitoulin Transport is North America’s largest transportation network, focused on fast and efficient delivery, trusted by clients in various industries.
“We have many people working in our terminals across northeastern Ontario with young families or grandchildren. At Manitoulin Transport, we are proud to support something that will benefit the communities of northeastern Ontario,” said Jeff Smith, Executive Vice President, Manitoulin Transport. “We have seen the amazing work and further developments that NEO Kids Foundation has accomplished over the past year, and we are excited to see how our donation can help continue to foster better treatment and health care for the young patients at Health Sciences North.”
The donation will support NEO Kids, northeastern Ontario’s hub for specialized children’s care, which currently treats thousands of children every year. HSN is looking to expand the NEO Kids facility to accommodate the demand for specialized children’s services in the North.
“Manitoulin Transport’s commitment to NEO Kids speaks volumes for the type of leadership that is present within our community,” said Patricia Mills, president of NEO Kids Foundation. “This donation will help bring treatment and health care that much closer to children throughout northeastern Ontario, keeping them closer to home.”
NEO Kids is home to six pediatricians and over 20 specialized outpatient clinics that help provide treatment for various health issues such as allergies and asthma, as well as more extensive clinics such as the botox clinic.
