SPRING BAY—It’s time to put away the pool cues and take out the golf clubs as the Manitoulin Pool League games have finished for another season.
Held at the home of Joyce and Ray Digout of Spring Bay, the group of avid players meet on a weekly basis from October until early May and finished with a barbecue and tournament, complete with cash prizes.
The top player of the A team this season was John Szewczyk of Mindemoya, followed by Pierre Labonte of Billings township and Don Thompson of Providence Bay.
The B team honours went to Jim Emery of Gore Bay followed by John Stewart of M’Chigeeng First Nation and Joyce Digout of Spring Bay. For more information or to join the league, call 705-988-3143.
