Manitoulin OPP and Drug Enforcement Unit executes search warrant

LITTLE CURRENT–The Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police has charged one Little Current male with drug related offences following a search warrant executed in Little Current on Thursday, December 10.

As a result of a police investigation, officers with the Manitoulin OPP, assisted by the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, attended a residence on Robinson Street in Little Current. A search warrant was executed and as a result, a quantity of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia and cash was seized.

As a result of this investigation, a 58-year-old male of Robinson Street, Little Current, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused will be appearing in Ontario Bail Court on Friday, December 11 in Gore Bay.
