Rebeca Laurenti, left, hosted a series of successful bike kitchens on behalf of Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates (MICA) recently where she taught people elements of bike mechanics such as changing a tire or replacing a chain. She’s seen with, from left, Guy Nielen, of MICA, Lee Baxter and John Finlay. This event took place Sunday afternoon in M’Chigeeng following a Saturday clinic in Gore Bay. Next Sunday, June 18 there will be a similar event in Mindemoya at 6152 Highway 542 from 2-4 pm (Maja’s Garden).
