The father and son team of Warren and Justice Corbiere won the championship flight at the annual Manitoulin Golf men’s tournament this past weekend. This is the fifth time they have won this title. The Corbiere team posted a two-round 36 hole score of 129 (63-66), beating the second place team of Anthony Rogerson and Julian Tubin by two strokes (131). Placing third in the championship flight was the team of Curtis Poirier and Roddy McLeod. Mr. Poirier dedicated the tournament to his grandmother Donna Kay. In the first flight the Andrew Corbiere and Steve Green team took first place with a total score of 142 (71-71), while the Cassidy and Patrick Payette team won the second flight with a score of 145 (73-72). Another father son duo, Shawn and Samuel Assinewai won the third flight with a score of 145 (75-70). The fourth flight was won by Ray and Leon, a team from Sudbury with a score of 159. In the fifth flight, Connor Croft and Ryan Robinson took top spot with a score of 153 (82-71).
