Manitoulin athletes shine at North Shore Secondary School track and field finals

OFSSA bound MSS travelled to Blind River to participate in the Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics tennis championships last Thursday. Overall the team placed second in points, and the mixed doubles team of Bryce Mastelko and Mackenzie Turner, above, earned a silver medal and are travelling to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association finals to be held next Sunday at the Rexall Centre at York University.

ELLIOT LAKE—Manitoulin Secondary School had an excellent showing last week at the North Shore Secondary School Athletics Association (NSSSAA) track and field meet held at Elliot Lake Secondary School. Twenty-three students will be heading to the next round, the Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics (NOSSA) this week at Scollard Hall in North Bay.

In team scores, MSS placed second with 204 points for girls and third with 154 points for the boys’ division.
