Lyle Dewer challenges MOE on water level claims

To the Expositor:

For the Army Corps of Engineers,

The Lake Huron Lakes levels have never, never, never, ever been even close to this low level we have now. Environment Canada water resources engineer Chuck Southam saw the picture I took last December of the water level (‘Historical water levels show fluctuation, but steady decrease over half century, March 14, page 3) from the late 1960s to now. Chuck tried to explain away why water levels are so different in different places. Sorry Chuck, I just don’t buy it because I live close to this rock. And the water is down over six feet from then. Sometimes the truth hurts.

You’d better put a plug in the far end of these lakes or we’ll be walking or driving to Tobermory.

Sincerely,
Lyle Dewar
