March 24, 1940 – May 6, 2011
Louise Celina Aguonie, 71 years, died peacefully at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current. Best friend to Norman for 50 years and married for 45 years. Louise carried herself in a quiet strength. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. She helped whomever came to visit or stay for a time. Louise was an awesome bus driver (30 years), pro yard saler and cook. She loved picking blueberries, picking sweetgrass, gardening, and spending time in the bush getting wood and/or hunting. Spending time with her grandchildren made her very happy and she enjoyed making crafts. Her special hobby was to collect miniature figurines. Classic country was on in the house all the time. To all who knew Louise, she was a kind, generous and gentle spirit. She touched many lives in a beautiful way just like the beautiful Anishnawbe-Kwe she was while here with us. Baa Maa Pii Miinwa K’Waab Min. Beloved wife of Norman Aguonie. Loving mother of Evelyn, Valerie Assinewai (William), Levi, Angela (Alphonse), Andrew (Tammie), and Lila McClaskin (Clint).
