Hopefully things will be worked out for next year and a smiling face will return
To the Expositor:
Well my wife and I just returned home from our yearly trip to beautiful Manitoulin Island to try to get some salmon. We go to Providence Bay Tent and Trailer park where we were greeted by Irene and her staff. They do everything in their power to make our stay an enjoyable one. We always seem to forget something or need something and they try to help us out. That’s how you do business and keep your customers coming back.
The next morning we headed down to the dock to launch our boat, expecting to see Kenny, who looked after the dock, only to find he was no longer there. Kenny is no longer there for reasons I won’t go into. Kenny always had a smile and would give you a hand if you need one, or if some one parked where they should not be he would make them move.
Now most of the time when I went to the dock there was no one around and if there was, there was no smile. We went to a meeting at the harbour and they told us they hope to get things straightened out, and may even get Kenny back.
I think in the last number of years Kenny has done a lot to promote boating in Providence Bay. And I hope all the fishermen who have used the harbour let them know how good Kenny was on that job down there.
I hope next year when we return we see Kenny’s smiling face at the dock again.
