LOIS COULTIS

June 16, 1951 – September 25, 2023

Lois Coultis of Bellville and Tobermory passed

peacefullyin her 73rd

year at Lion’s Head Hospital on Monday,

September 25, 2023. She was born on

June 16, 1951 to Laverne (nee Etsell) and Arnold Bain.

Lois, over the course of a 49 year marriage with Danny

Coultis, is also survived by her two sons Robert Coultis of

Belleville and Tobermory and Ryan Coultis and his wife

Candace of Cold Lake, Alberta; grandchildren Makayla and

Kobin. Lois is also survived by sisters Dorothy Stewart and

Yvonne Martin; brother Sheldon Bain and sister-in-law Lorraine

Bain. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Lois is

predeceased by her brother Beverley Bain, sister Shirley

Hudson, brothers-in-law Morris Stewart and Ken Martin

and sister-in-law Linda Bain. Lois graduated from Owen

Sound School of Nursing before going on to complete her

degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Lois was a nurse

who helped people her entire life, especially any family

member who needed it, including end of care for her sister

as late as last year. Lois was active in her church and loved

to read. Lois will be missed by all of us, especially those

who were blessed with her patience and kindness at a time

of need. The service to honour and remember Lois will be

conducted at the Tobermory United Church on Wednesday,

October 11, 2023 at 11 am. Arrangements entrusted to the

George Funeral Home Lion’s Head Chapel, Lion’s Head.
