The regular meeting was well attended. The focus of the meeting was upcoming fundraisers. Mark these dates and times on your calendars for ornaments and cookies! This begins the sale of ornaments for the Memory Tree and the placing of cards on the tree at the hospital.

On Saturday, November 25 from 9:30 am until noon you can buy your Christmas baking at our annual Cookie Walk. It’s in the hall at the Anglican Church. Donations of cookies would be appreciated. Bake a batch for the Auxiliary sale. Drop them off around 9 am.

The ongoing activities continue. Money is raised at the Tuck Cart/Showcase and the Fill’er Up Jug, the In Memoriam Fund and the coin boxes that are in many locations. Hats off to Dave Sylvester for his diligence in this project. Some new boxes have been purchased. It’s amazing that your subport of the coin box collection has brought in $7,500 in the seven years since it started.

The Christmas Dinner will be at the Anchor Inn on Tuesday, December 12. Be there by 6 pm. The cost is $27.50 for your choice of a turkey dinner, rib eye steak or jumbo shrimp linguine. Call Marilee by December 5 to reserve your spot. A special presentation will take place at the meeting.

Dianne Musgrove has volunteered to take the position of Goodwill Representative. The executive position of secretary will be covered by members until elections in April.

Plans for the regional conference in May continue. This is a joint effort by the Little Current and Mindemoya Auxiliaries.

Two bursaries of $500 each will be awarded at  Manitoulin Secondary School in December.

It’s a busy time of year. Since there is no Auxiliary News report in December, please accept our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Be happy, healthy and look out for one another! Sincere thanks for your continued support. Whether it’s a nickel in a coin box or a hundred for In Memoriam, it all counts and in the long run, you benefit!
