Lions Club asking for public input in form of Haweater Weekend online survey

MANITOULIN— The Little Current Lions Club is reaching out to the Manitoulin community for ideas on revamping its beloved Haweater Weekend .

Last week, in collaboration with this newspaper, the Club launched the first in a series of online polls with the initial survey asking for thoughts solely on the Saturday night Hawfest dance. The response was swift and encouraging with over 320 people taking the time to answer the questions over the course of only a few days.

“It shows that people care about the future of Haweater,” Lions Club President Bruce Burnett told The Expositor.

The launch of the next poll, which will deal with the location of the weekend events, will take place this week and the club is asking the public to please take the time to visit www.manitoulin.ca to provide their feedback and answer the brief survey.

“The information we glean from these surveys will help us develop and even better Haweater Weekend in the years to come, especially with the lead-up to the event’s 50th anniversary in 2017,” Lion Bruce added.
