Wound up spending money in Espanola

My family and I are frequent visitors to the Island and also owners of a fully electric vehicle. We often find ourselves charging in Little Current as it is the only charger along Highway 6 past Espanola. While we appreciate the many events and festivals that are put on in downtown Little Current we are always inconvenienced when the road is closed and access to the charger in Little Current is cut off. This past weekend was one of those occasions.
Heading home to Sudbury we found ourselves needing to top up our charge but we were unable to. While we were fortunate this time to have enough charge to make it to Espanola that is not always the case. We also, as a consequence, ending up having dinner and spending our money in Espanola and not Little Current. My husband did speak to several organizers but was told charging would not be possible in Little Current until 11:30 or 12 at night, which is just not manageable with two young children.
I hope that access to the charger is considered in future.
