CT scan business case leaves out humanity
To the Expositor:
The comment by the Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC)’s medical advisory committee deeming “its business case to be an unsuitable fit for the Island” is short-sighted and on its face puts business before the healthcare of the Islanders. The late Frances Langford (Evinrude) was an ardent supporter of Manitoulin’s healthcare. She would be so disappointed by the comment. Not only will the MHC not be able to provide the benefits to the Islanders of the CT scanner, MHC is preventing itself from reaching its fullest potential.
