Lena Jean Rovena Kruger (Nee Jewell)

Oliver, B.C. resident, Lena Jean Rovena Kruger (nee Jewell) passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 of a heart attack at Penticton General Hospital. Born in 1934 on Burnt Island, Ontario, she is survived by her husband Archie, four children; Catherine, Peter, Michael, Paul, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and her sisters Helen Lloyd and Shirley Mertens. A world traveller and dedicated volunteer for the Royal Canadian Legion, BOPElks and the community at large. Meaningful to her was family, fresh air, good food, a glass of wine and travelling. Her Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 with a RCL/BOPE tribute at the BOPE lodge, Padre Ray Turner presiding.
