A sensible approach to the issue of waste
To the Expositor:
I applaud the leadership of Billings councillor Vince Grogan with his motion to council to initiate discussing Manitoulin’s waste/landfill issues with all neighbouring Island communities, which should include all our First Nations, to maximize economies of scale in managing our waste services.
Such an initiative would sensibly address the indisputable fact that generating garbage remains the lowest common denominator shared by every Manitoulin resident.
