In loving memory of Kenneth “Ken” Bisson (Niizhwaaso Shkode Nini), 68 years, who passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Geka Wigwan surrounded by his loving family. Life partner of Gail Jacobs. Beloved father of Timothy (predeceased 2002), Alison Jacobs, and Shauna Pitawanakwat. Dear son of James and Anne (nee Migwans) Bisson, both predeceased. Cherished grandfather of London, Scarlett, Noah, Brian (Angeline), Nicole (Duke) and great-grandfather of Lacey, Connor, Landon, Eric and Cole. Loving brother of Audrey, Edward (Linda), Richard (Jean predeceased), Brian (Stephanie), and predeceased by Gus, Timothy, and Norma. Loving son-in-law of Mike (predeceased) and Arnelda Jacobs, and special father-in-law of Maxie Assinewai (predeceased 2003). Will be sadly missed by his Gnaabijiing family and community. Best friend of Murphy and Mike. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Ken served five years in the HMCS Skeena Navy and enjoyed a career as a computer programmer. His passion was baseball whether it be playing, coaching or watching, his favourite team the Montreal Expos. He also enjoyed a good game of pool. Ken was a lifelong traditional fire keeper. Rested at the Saswaahns Spiritual Centre, 44 Tikmeg Road, M’Chigeeng after 1 pm Saturday, April 18, 2015. Funeral Mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 28 Hwy 551, M’Chigeeng on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11 am. Interment in the M’Chigeeng Cemetery. Donations to the Serpent River First Nation Powwow Committee would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, (at Hazel) Sudbury.
