People make plans based on what you post on your website
To the Expositor:
We agree with your editorial ‘Tourism is everybody’s business,’ June 14, Page 4. Sadly, we found two major “misses” in our trip of June 6,7 and 8.
Using posted open hours for two Island museums, my wife and I took our five-year-old granddaughter on a mini vacation via the ferry. The plan was to visit those museums on Wednesday, June 7. I had sent a late May email giving a heads up to one of the two museums and did not hear back. We had every reason to believe they were open.
Our message is simple, if tourism is important to you, make sure your own website has the correct hours that you are open. Upon returning home, I rechecked the websites of both museums. They were supposed to have been open on June 7.
