It is with great sorrow that the Varey family announces that Kathleen (Kay) Lilian Varey passed away peacefully on October 4, 2013 in her 86th year at the Manitoulin Health Centre. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Milford (“Snappy“) in 1983. Cherished mother of sons Thomas (Betty) of Bruce Mines; Keith (Alice) of Little Current; Alan (Pat) of Little Current and Don (Audrey) of Nanaimo, B.C. Proud Nana of Shawn (Lina) of Marlette, MI; Crissy (Carson) of Cambridge; Darryn of North Bay; Christopher (Robyn) of Trout Creek and Alicia (Bernie) of Val Caron. Great Nana to Olivia, Kaden and Owen. Dear sister of Dorothy Suggitt (Wilmot – predeceased) of Sunderland and Jean (John) Morrison (both deceased) of Ancastor. Will be greatly missed by friend and partner Jewell McCulligh. Kay was born and raised in Manitowaning and moved to Little Current after her marriage to Milf to raise her family. She enjoyed many happy summers at their summer cottage in Honora entertaining family and friends. Kay’s wishes were to be cremated with no funeral service. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations to the Little Current United Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
