Jordan Chandler recruits Brad Jacobs to skip his rink in Brier hunt

MANITOULIN—Past world champion curler Brad Jacobs has joined local curler Jordan Chandler’s rink to compete in the provincial championship.

“Yes it is true, Brad (Jacobs) has joined our rink,” Mr. Chandler confirmed on Monday. “He is a past Olympic, provincial and Brier champion.”

“I played on Brad’s team last year when we won the provincial northern Ontario championship and went on to the Brier,” said Mr. Chandler.

“We are gearing up as a rink just for the provincials, which will take place January 24-29 in Kenora,” continued Mr. Chandler. “Hopefully, we will get through the provincials to the Brier which takes place in London in March.”

Mr. Chandler said that Brad Jacobs will be skip of the rink, while he will be vice. Kyle Chandler will be second and Jamie Broad, a Sault Ste. Marie curler, will play lead.
