JONATHAN DOUGLAS
HUTCHINSON
November 14, 1923 – April 16, 2022
Doug was a hard working man. He built many houses and cottages in the Sandfield area as well as bridges around Ontario. He enjoyed cutting wood, fishing and hunting and was a true outdoors guy. Doug ran his bait business for 93 years. He loved to dance and have fun. Doug loved The Maple Leafs, eating peanuts, riding on his newest snow machine and standing on his head (until he was 80!) Doug had many sayings, life-lessons and stories that he shared with family and friends. His greatest pride was his large family. He will be greatly missed by his dear wife Mary and their seven children: Pam (Paul predeceased), Jane (Ted), Kevin (Heather), Peter (Sandra), Paul (Cindy), Theresa (Dave) and Anita (Hugh). He will be greatly missed by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Jean McLennan, Doris Williamson and Betty McGregor. Survived by his sister Mary (Alex) Lochead. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya location.
