In loving memory of John Philip Souliere, 72 years, June 5, 1940 to June 9, 2012. John passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa. John will be sadly missed by beloved partner Ella Brumwell. Dear father of Michael Souliere, Tanya Souliere (Yohan) and Sara Jane Souliere (Michael) and by their mother and lifelong friend Ursula Jacko (Souliere), and Martin Meawasige. John was a very proud grandfather to Vanessa (Max), Nicholas (Amanda), Alyssa (Collin), Jordan, Rhode, Darryl, Tyler, Joshua, Noah, Lillian and Mitchell and great-grandfather to Kendra and Lillian. Born in North Shore, son of the late Felix and Helena “Lena” (Meawasige) Souliere. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Day (Leo). John will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and special childhood friends Bill McLeod, Orval Commanda, Leslie Day and other friends. John worked as a tool and dye maker for A.J. Simpson for 14 years. Rested at Serpent River First Nation Community Centre. The Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of the Highway Church, Serpent River First Nation, Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11 am. Friends were welcome after 1 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury.
