JOHN McARTHUR PRICE

June 30, 1927 – April 23, 2012

In loving memory of Jack Price, a resident of Monument Road, Spring Bay, while at Health Sciences North, Sudbury was called home to be with his Lord, on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the age of 84 years. He was born in Hamilton, son of the late John Arthur and Charlotte (McArthur) Price. He had worked as a railroad engineer all his life until retirement, when he and Elsie moved to Manitoulin. John was a “jack of all trades,” enjoying carpentry work and lending a helping hand whenever needed. In later years, he took up needlepoint, and was very proficient at this as well. John had great faith and great love for his church, being involved in many ways. His greatest love was his family. Many memories will be cherished by family and many friends. John is survived by his beloved wife Elsie. Loving and loved father of Darlene (Ron) of Brantford, David (Sherri) of Holly, Michigan and Kevin (Karen) of Stoney Creek. Proud grandfather of Dean, Tegan, Jennifer, Heather, Benjamin, Joshua, Rebecca, Timothy and Annieva and great grandchildren Robert and Raevin. Dear brother of Bette (Allen) Kerr of Providence Bay and Morris (Charion) Price of Spring Bay. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation will take place. Friends called at the Mindemoya Missionary Church on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 7 pm -9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate John’s life was conducted at the Church on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1 pm with Pastor Ray Kloetstra officiating. If so desired, donations to the Mindemoya Missionary Church would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be left at www.culginfuneralhome.ca.
