JEFFREY JOSEPH TRUDEAU

JEFFREY JOSEPH TRUDEAU
August 17, 1964 – May 15, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our big brother at the age of 57. Jeffrey is predeceased by his brother Kenneth Trudeau and parents Alphonse Jeff Trudeau and Rose Marie (nee Odjig). Dear brother of Noel, Pierre (wife Patricia), Leon (friend Connie), Francis (wife Christine) and Ruby (husband Warren). Godfather to Alphonse and Delani-Rae.
Godson to Marjorie Trudeau and Frank Odjig. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jeff was a big brother who was dedicated to his family. He was a supportive uncle who always tried to be present for sporting events and other successes and accomplishments. He stayed in touch with extended family the best he could. He enjoyed family gatherings and special celebrations. A dear friend to many and had a big heart full of kindness and love. An honest man who gave what he could, when he could. Jeff accomplished so much in his life, met many people and touched the lives of others. He worked as a driver for WNH and drove the school bus for WBE as he didn’t mind being in the driver’s seat. He worked and toured with theatre groups. He worked at the famous restaurant and bar Schooners, where he developed many friendships.
He enjoyed late nights playing cards (bingo, euchre, poker) with auntie Marj and cousins, cheering on his nieces and nephews and visiting loved ones. Jeffrey’s two favourite places were his home in Wikwemikong and his home on the road. He loved travelling and his real passion was becoming a truck driver. He joined the company in 2015 and was on the road since then. He always made time for himself and his family along his travels whether it was to catch up or snap a few pics. Jeffrey would always pop in to visit,
mostly for a bite to eat, take in a bingo game or a movie. He was always up for a road trip and knew all the short cuts and backroads. He always updated everyone on where he was at and posted videos for us to see. We will miss those videos and updates from across the country. Most of all we will miss his presence. No longer by our side, but always in our hearts. He will be missed. Family and friends gathered on Saturday, May 21, 2022 after 12 noon at Buzwah Church. The funeral was Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11 am with burial at the Wikwemikong Upper Cemetery.
OUR BIG BROTHER JEFF
Travelled the roads
And many years past
This life he chose,
Hoped it would last.
Driving all day and many nights
Through provinces and states.
His truck was bright white.
Videos he made were so great.
His truck is now parked, his engine has stopped.
Those who loved him, their hearts have dropped.
He travelled the country with a smile of great pride.
Now he drives the streets of Heaven on the truckers’ last ride.
“Check back later folks”
“Take care everybody”
Jeff
