Jean Helen Bebamash (Nimkii Kwe)

In loving memory of Jean Bebamash, a member of M’Chigeeng First Nation, who passed away surrounded by her family at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the age of 81 years. She was born in M’Chigeeng First Nation. Daughter of the late William and Louise (Migwans) Roy and had lived in M’Chigeeng all her life. Jean enjoyed bingo, sewing, cooking, fishing and watching baseball. She will be remembered as a great “hockey and figure skating Gramma”. Jean was loved by her children and in turn was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She had a neverending love for everyone in her community and many happy memories will be cherished. Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband Herman in 1974. Loving and loved mother of Julie Ann (Franklin) Ozawagosh of Atikameksheng, Roland (Kathy), Bonita, Isadora (Rocky), Heather (Wayne) Debassige, and Robert Panamick, all of M’Chigeeng. Proud grandmother of Candy, Darlene (Chris), Sarah (Kevin), Danielle (Luke), Wesley, Bert (Jarrielle), Archie, Dane (Gloria), Jeanine (Tom) and Renell. Great-grandmother of Jaysen, Jeremy, Austin, Amelia, Jarron, Harmony and Nooka Shki Naakshi Giizgoonhs Kwe. Dear sister of Theodore (Dorothy), Mike (Georgina) of Chicago, Francis, Maisie (Levi Debassige) of M’Chigeeng, Mandy (Francis Ozawagosh) of Atikameksheng, Joe (Grace) Fox and Kate Roy. Predeceased by sisters and brothers Violet (Theodore Desmoreaux), Jacob, Cecile, Violet, Gary (Rita), Patrick Roy and Susan (Wilfred Corbiere). Special mom to the Peltier family and grandson Garret. Caring aunt to many nieces and nephews and their children. Dear friend of Lottie Eshkawkogan. Friends called at Jean’s home, 1259 Hwy 551, M’Chigeeng after 6 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012 until time of the funeral mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, M’Chigeeng on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11 am.
