Jean Cannard (nee Clarke), a resident of Little Current, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Manitoulin Centennial Manor. Predeceased by her husband Glen. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and of the late Fern Clarke. Beloved mother of Blaine (Donelda) of Massey, Glena (Mike) of Little Current, John (Melanie Hinton) of Sudbury and Tom (Angie Dionne) of Little Current. She will be missed by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Lois (Jeff) Marshall of Little Current. Jean had been an active member of the Sheguiandah United Church, the Sheguiandah UCW and a valued social news columnist for The Manitoulin Expositor. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations to the Parkinson Society of Central and Northern Ontario and the Centennial Manor Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Island Funeral Home in Little Current.
