JANET EDITH WILDA CAMPBELL (nee Taylor) July 26, 1931 – April 21, 2023 In loving memory of Janet Edith Wilda Campbell (nee Taylor) of Mindemoya who passed away peacefully at Manitoulin Centennial Manor in Little Current April 21, 2023, in her 91st year. Loving wife of 62 years to Wallace (predeceased 2018). Mother to Ruth, Bill (Blanche) and Allen (Roxanne) (both predeceased). Grandmother to David (Catherine), Aaron (Jaime), Randy (Alison), Michelle and Ryan (Becky). Great-grandmother to Emma, Daven, Benton, Carson, Suri, Beck, Cody and Hunter. Daughter of William and Mae Taylor (Wagg) and sister to John (Lois), Doug, Bill, Wayne (Roberta), Frank (Marilyn) and Wallace (all predeceased). She is survived by her sisters-in-law Nonie and Gloria. Wilda was a Registered Nurse in Mindemoya for 25 years. Together with her husband Wallace, they ran the Idyll Glenn Trailer Park for 12 years. After her retirement, she went back to high school for some interest courses and got top marks. Her photo albums hold many memories of the various trips her and Wallace took and of her family that she was very proud of and cherished spending time with. Wilda lived a full life and kept herself busy until the end. She had a passion for gardening and was well known for her beautiful flowers. Our houses are filled with beautiful handmade, quilted, sewn, knitted and painted items. Wilda had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand, share her knowledge, knit and sew for overseas charities, fill shoe boxes or show up at the door of a sick community member with a box of homemade meals and goodies. She was a longtime member of the Mindemoya Historical Society and Campbell Horticulture Society. Many thanks to the staff of Manitoulin Centennial Manor for their compassion, kindness, care and support. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held June 4, 2023 at 1 pm at the Mindemoya Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life from 2 to 4 pm at the Mindemoya Curling Club. If so wished, memorial donations can be made to Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary or the Manitoulin Centennial Manor.
