In memory of two hardworking dedicated members of the community! Nicky and Maddy Keller lead the Central Manitoulin Lions Club Homecoming Weekend and Manitoulin Ribfest parade with this banner. The two
youngsters are the great grandchildren of Morris and Willis Keller,
dedicated lifelong volunteers with the Lions club and the community, who passed away earlier this year.

Brickyard Barbecue won the judges award for best sauce among the four professional ribbers on hand for Ribfest, as part of the Homecoming weekend. Ribber Mark Scarlett is shown preparing the ribs for hungry customers.

Nick Korarianigis of Bubba Lou’s barbecue was one of four ribbers on hand at Homecoming Weekend celebrations.

Ribber Jorge Gonzalez of Go Gonzalez BBQ displays a rack of their delicious ribs and a trophy the team won recently at a ribfest held in London, Ontario.

Award winning ribbers! Professional ribber Ed Vte of Made in America Smoke-house BBQ tends to the ribs and chicken at their booth at Homecoming weekend. Made in America was judged by a local panel of judges to have the best ribs, best chicken and the best pulled pork and were named best overall professional ribbers at Ribfest. Speaking of barbecuing, Brian Lund was the winner of the draw. For $3,350 Central Manitoulin Lions backyard barbecue ultimate dream package sponsored by Jake’s Home Centre.

Over 60 vendors were on hand for the Central Manitoulin Market held in the Mindemoya arena as part of the Central Manitoulin Lions Club Homecoming Weekend which coincided with Canada Day.

Almost ready to race! Youngsters were getting ready to race in the Mindy Indy Soap Box Derby, but took time pre-race to take part in the Homecoming parade.

There were all kinds of games for youngsters of all age to take part in, including the bean bag toss.
