She was well respected in the card playing community and played euchre and cribbage until very recently. Christmas was always at Grandma’s house, no matter the grandkids’ age. Family was most important to her. Irene spent many hours quilting and knitting, keeping her family in socks, mittens and quilts. She also donated may knitted and crocheted items to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary. Irene was a member of the Big Lake Women’s Institute for many years. The family would like to thank the home care team, Dr. O’Connor and all of the staff at the Mindemoya Hospital for the excellent care of our mom.
