Of course a very special thanks to our volunteers, Cath Hall, Nathan Quackenbush, Sarah Hall, Sam Aelick and Holly Scott for keeping everyone moving in the right direction. Organizer Ben Quackenbush also sends out extra special thanks to Nelson Wood for his knowledge and expertise as a long-time facilitator of the Haw Run. The next Breakaway Race series event is the un-race-like The Mclean’s 6 hour relay. It is a fun mountain bike race accessible to everyone. Great for the serious competitor, the recreational weekend warrior or the entire family!

The format is for teams trying to complete as many laps of the course as they can over the six hours. You can ride it solo or in teams of two, three or four! Awards for top finishers as well as draw prizes and post-race BBQ. It is set for September 2 and registration can be completed on the Breakaway Sports website.
