MANITOULIN—Hydro One has announced that there will be a hydro outage for Manitoulin Island scheduled for Sunday, May 27.
On Tuesday Hydro One announced that the planned power outage would take place from 9 am until 3 pm to affect 4,790 customers in Robinson, M’Chigeeng, Allan West, Gordon, Burpee and Mills, Central Manitoulin, Carnarvon, Billings, Barrie Island, Gore Bay, Howland, Sandfield, Dawson, Allan East, Bidwell North, Sheshegwaning, Zhiibaahaasing, South Bidwell and Cockburn Island.
The planned maintenance outage has been scheduled to repair station equipment.
Also last week Hydro One announced that an outage will take place on the same date and times affecting 326 Hydro One customers in Aundeck Omni Kaning, Little Current and Howland. Hydro One is replacing hydro poles in these areas.
