HENRY IGNATIUS PITAWANAKWAT “NISH”
December 13, 1954 – October 29, 2016
Son of John and Angeline (nee Pangowish) Pitawanakwat. Father of Shelley Trudeau (James) of Sudbury, Natalie Shawana-Waboose of Wiky, Joseph (predeceased), Meryca of Wiky, Jon Shawongonabe of Sudbury. Grandfather of Blade, Tyler, Diamond, Avery, Aaron, Andrew, Jack, Melody. Brother of Priscillia McGregor (Art) of Birch Island, Rose Peltier (Cliff) of Wiky, Al Pitawanakwat of Wiky, Narcissus (predeceased), Henrietta “Get” Dokum (North Carolina). Special brother to Martina Pitawanakwat of Wiky, Ambrose “Aambre” Trudeau (Veda) of Wiky. Will be missed by his two little friends Jolton and Sophia. Remembered by Aunt Dorothy Peltier, many godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Henry was an amazing man, he would always go out of his way to help someone in need. He enjoyed the great outdoors and working on vehicles. He was an entertainer, enjoyed making people laugh, played his music while enjoying his daily beer. Resting at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah from 3 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Funeral Mass at 11 am on Friday November 4, 2016 at Holy Cross Mission, Wikwemikong. Burial at Buzwah Cemetery.
