HELEN ELAINE (PITAWANAKWAT) JACKO

August 09, 1954 – August 07, 2012

Elaine will be sadly missed by her family and friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. We love you so much, but God loves you most. He will not let you be tested beyond your strength…I Corinthians 10:13. The Jacko family expresses their most sincere appreciation to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, phone calls, cards, your time, love, and support, during our difficult period of transition. May God ever smile on you and bless you abundantly. Elaine was born in Manitowaning, Ontario to the late David and Alexandrine Pitawankwat. She married Armand Jacko (divorced) in 1972 and to this union four children were born. In 1983, Elaine moved her family to Lansing, Michigan and worked for the State of Michigan for over 10 years. Elaine enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters Rachel (Michael) Brings-Plenty, Cher (Corey) Jacko, Amy Lou (Dustin) Jacko and her only son Lance (Lindsey) Jacko; four brothers Kenneth (Lorraine), Gregory (Natalie), Adolphus, and Wayne (Charlene) Pitawanakwat; four sisters Beatrice (Martin) Jones, Mildred (Cho-boy), Darlene, Kathleen (Charles) Pitawanakwat; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends; a very special companion Fernando Gonzales and his children Sara and Rachel Lopez. Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11 am at Holy Cross Mission Wikwemikong. Cremation. Arrangements entrusted with Island Funeral Home, Little Current.
