Heggestad rink knocked out of Scotties

OAKVILLE—The Heather (Graham) Heggestad curling rink had a good run and made it to the playoffs, before succumbing in the semi-finals at the 2018 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Ms. Heggestad is a Haweater, having been born and raised in Gore Bay, and her rink was representing the Oakville Curling Club as it qualified for the provincials in a challenge event held recently at the Leaside Club in Toronto.

In the Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, a total of 12 rinks took part in the event held at the Whitby Curling Club, held this past weekend.

The Heggestad rink, after posting a five win two loss record, played in the 3-4 playoff, where her rink was defeated 5-4 by the Hollie Duncan rink.
