An intensifying low pressure system over the American Midwest is forecast to track across Lake Huron Sunday evening to near North Bay by Monday morning. This system is expected to tap into warm moist air from the south and will bring significant rainfall to areas near and north of the track.
Periods of light rain are currently affecting the area and will give way to drizzle late this evening or overnight. Heavy rain will begin Sunday morning as the low approaches and continue through Sunday night. General rainfall amounts of 50 to 75 mm are expected with local amounts up to 100 mm possible by Monday morning.
