GWEN ERNESTINE (MIDDAUGH) YOUNG

Gwen Ernestine (Middaugh) Young, a resident of Sheguiandah, died peacefully at Health Sciences North, 41 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury, on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the age of 47. Born to Neil Middaugh, and Carole Middaugh (Leeson) at Little Current, on October 27, 1967. Gwen was a beautiful and vibrant person who brought joy to everyone she knew. Her zest for life shone through in her love for the outdoors, her gardening, her hunting and fishing just to name a few. Gwen had a passion for muscle cars and took an active part in Todd’s career of restoration. Gwen spent a large portion of her free time volunteering for many good causes that were very close to her heart. Her family was always the most important thing in her life, which included her four dogs and her cat. Gwen leaves behind beloved fiancé of 10 years, Todd Batman, two sons Craig and Devin, sisters Freida, Lois and Patricia, and predeceased by brother David and sister Roxanne. She will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Family and friends will gather at Island Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11 am for visitation. Funeral Services will be at Island Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1 pm with Weston Leeson officiating. Donations to Manitoulin Special Olympics or Manitoulin Family Resource Food Bank and Depot in honour of Gwen would be greatly appreciated.
